In physical Security, the term Access control refers to the practice of restricting entrance to a property, a building or a room to authorized persons. Physical access control can be achieved by a human ( a guard, bouncer, or receptionist), through mechanical means such as locks andkeys, or through technological means such as a card access system. Access control Software:

 

Access control systems is the computer software used to run them. The software lets you set access levels for each ID and door, view reports, and conduct audits to see who used a door at a certain time. The software is easy to understand, easy it is to add new employees, change access levels, create groups, and find detailed reports. Access control system software is powerful enough to handle the needs of companies up to at least a thousand users.When you start needing to manage multiple shifts, several thousand employees, and hundreds of doors, you drastically increase the overall complexity.

 

Access Controllers:

 

An access controller is a device that connects access control terminals such as fingerprint reading terminals, card reader terminals, pin code reader terminals to door locks. The main function of a controller is controlling the locking and unlocking of an installed door lock such as electromagnetic locks, drop bolts, and etc based on a signal received from an access control terminal. Access control Readers

 

Access Control card readers are used in physical security systems to read a credential that allows access through access control points, typically a locked door. An access control reader can be a magnetic stripe reader, a bar code reader, a wiegand card, a proximity reader, a smart card reader, or a biometric reader.
